Let’s get to know the new faculty and staff this year, so we can make them feel at home on “The Hill”. First let’s dive into the faculty, where we gained five new Wildcat professors.
Syed Husain is the Assistant Professor of Mathematics, he is originally from Islamabad, Pakistan. Something he loves to do is travel to U.S. national parks, where he has already been to ten of them, where he says his favorite so far would be Isle Royale National Park located in Michigan.
Dr. Rebecca Edelman is the Lecturer of Counselor Education. She is from Phoenix, Arizona. She loves to go hiking with her dogs, so if you know good spots to hike around Canton she would love to hear.
Dr. Alex Kirby is the Lecturer in Music, Associate Director of Bands, Director of Athletic Bands, and Recruitment Specialist. He is from Colombia, Missouri. One hobby of his he said was “to ride his motorcycle”.
Jeffery Johnson is the Assistant Professor of Graphic Design. So if you have any interest in getting into graphic designing, this is your contact.
Dr. Joseph Ankrom is the Assistant Professor of Biology. If you have any questions that involve biology or deciding if you want to enter into biology, they would be willing to help you.
So if you see any of our new Wildcat family members, do not be scared and go up and make them feel welcomed to “The Hill”. Excited to see the experience they bring to Culver-Stockton.
For staff, we gained 19 new members, so let’s get to know them and learn more about a few of them.
Shannon Hillyer is the new Freshman Admissions Counselor, and she is originally from Kahoka, Missouri. A fun fact about her is that she used to work at Walt Disney World.
Cheyenne Grissom is the Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach and she is originally from Frankfort, Indiana, but has moved to Quincy, Illinois since 2021. Something fun she likes to do is watch her fiancé race ATV’s!
Sean Freeman is the Director of Tri-State Development, and he is from Hannibal, Missouri. An interesting fact about him is that he is a loving, proud father of three.
The other amazing staff we acquired this year is Steven Clark and Dakota Eads are part of Campus Security. Terri Cobb is a part of the dining service. Austin Jones is the Men’s & Women’s Assistant Soccer Coach. Clair Eaton is the Director of Annual Giving & Alumni Relations. Teresa Koltzenburg is the Director of Marketing. Evan Burbridge is the Groundskeeper/General Maintenance. Christina McSorley is our lovely Housekeeper. Faith Younce a Culver graduate, is our Marketing Specialist. Joshua Villarino is the new Coordinator of Residence Life. Mike Seale is our new Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs. Rebecca Welker is the new Cat’s Pause Manager. Josh Branan is the Cat’s new Women’s Volleyball Head Coach. Justice Bullock-Browning is one of our new wonderful cooks for our cafeteria. Ryan Posgay is the Wildcats’ new Strength & Conditioning Coach. Lastly, Aaron Barry is a new Dining Services Utility Worker.
