Women’s Volleyball Senior Night

Seniors Reflect On Their Time On ‘The Hill’

Tuesday October 29th,  the Culver-Stockton College Lady Wildcats took on Clarke University.  It was a special night for the Culver’s four seniors: Jenna Lord, Blair Genenbacher, Taylor Durham, and Maryanna Catrine. Even though the Wildcats lost, they played hard and brought the game to four out of five sets. The seniors each commented how their experience has been over the years playing on the Culver Stockton Women’s Volleyball team.

“My overall experience playing on the volleyball team has been incredible. It has made me grow so much as a person and shape me into who I am today! I really am going to miss every single one of the girls on this team! They have made this year one that I will never forget!” – Taylor Durham.

“Playing volleyball at Culver has been an amazing experience for me and has allowed me to grow so much as a person. I have met the most amazing people who have each impacted my life in a different way. I have loved getting to know all the girls and this team is one that I will never forget because of how much of a family we were this season!”- Maryanna Catrine.

One of the best things this school has given me is a team that I can call my family.

— senior Jenna Lord

“I cannot begin to explain what all Culver Stockton has given me. One of the best things this school has given me is a team that I can call my family. I have gotten to play with such wonderful people, and each year it’s been so great getting to be apart of every new team personality. Sometimes people forget that sports aren’t just about the physical aspect, but it teaches you how to love and be confident in yourself and how to make others confident in themselves and I can’t wait to take what I’ve learned through this team with me into the rest of my life.” – Jenna Lord.

“We’ve had our ups and downs which has taught me how to be a better person and handle situations more naturally, but has also brought me to the best people I know.”- Blair Genenbacher.
