The Culver-Stockton College women’s volleyball team rallied from a nine-point deficit in the fourth set to claim a 19-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-22 victory over Graceland University (Iowa) in the Heart of America Athletic Conference opener for both teams Tuesday night at Charles Field House.

The victory also gave Wildcat Head Coach Lauren Eldridge her first career victory and the Wildcats their first victory of the season.

The Culver-Stockton College women’s golf team competed in the Evangel Fall Invitational Tuesday at Bill and Payne Stewart Golf Course in Springfield, Mo.

The Wildcats carded a team score of 366 to finish in fifth place, finishing seven strokes behind Cottey College for fourth place. Kansas Wesleyan won the event with a total of 305.


The Culver-Stockton College women’s soccer team scored three second half goals en route to a season-opening 3-0 victory over William Penn University in a Heart of America Athletic Conference battle Wednesday night at Ellison Poulton Stadium.

Austin Jones scored a Golden Goal in the 98th minute of extra time to lift the Culver-Stockton College men’s soccer team to a 2-1 overtime victory over William Penn University Wednesday night at Ellison Poulton Stadium.

The victory marks the first career victory for Wildcat boss Brian Davidson and gets the Wildcats off to a 1-0 start in Heart of America Athletic Conference play. C-SC is 1-1 overall.


The Culver-Stockton College women’s volleyball team lost a pair of tough Heart of America Athletic Conference matches Friday night at Charles Field House.

In the opener, the Wildcats fell in five grueling sets to William Penn University in a match that took two hours, 19 minutes to complete. The Statesmen held off the host school 21-25, 25-20, 25-21, 23-25, 15-7 to hand C-SC its first league loss.

Having to face perennial power Grand View University in its second match of the night, C-SC, predictably, struggled early as fatigue set in. The Wildcats dropped the first two sets 25-17, 25-14 before finding a second wind.

The Wildcats didn’t go quietly in the third set, taking a 24-18 lead. However, Grand View showed its toughness and eventually prevailed 29-27 to take the match.


The Culver-Stockton College men’s soccer team managed just two first half shots in falling to Park University 1-0 Saturday afternoon at Julian Field in Parkville, Mo.
