Robert Fry II Named Heart of America Freshman of the Year
Culver-Stockton College men’s basketball player Robert Fry II was recently named the 2020-2021 Heart of America Conference Freshman of the Year.
Fry, along with teammate sophomore Jim King, was also an honorable mention selection on the league All-Conference team.
Fry is a 6-1 guard from Indianapolis, IN where he attended Ben Davis High School. He averaged 20.1 points on the season at Culver-Stockton, ranking him 3rd in the conference and led the Wildcats offense. He also went on to ranking 3rd in free throw percentage shooting 78.3 percent from the line while shooting 42.6 percent from the floor.
Of the 17 games played, Fry scored double figures in 15 of them. When asked about what drives his passion of playing basketball he responded saying “I’ve been playing organized basketball since I was 2. Basketball is my life – it’s all I do.”
