Fall 2018 Fraternity Rush Week started Sunday, September 9th.

Each day of the week featured different fraternities.  Men interested in joining a fraternity went to Alpha Tau Omega Sunday. On Monday the men visited Lambda Chi Alpha; Tuesday was Tau Kappa Epsilon and Wednesday Delta Upsilon. Thursday, September 13th is Preference night where the recruits get their bids which have to be signed by 5 pm the following day.

The final day of recruitment is Friday which would be call downs, where the recruits go to the men of the house they signed a bid for. This will take place on the Quad.

I’m excited about seeing new people interested in Greek life and meeting new people.

Fraternity members expressed excitement about this year’s recruitment.  Zach Graves from Lambda Chi Omega answers “I’m really just looking forward to having more brothers, that’s one of my favorite things about recruitment is the fact we get to expand our family.” Paxton Burkhart from Tau Kappa Epsilon replied “Being able to see all the hard work pay off and see the positive outcomes from it. Also, getting the chance to see the new guys grow as men.” Logan Scholl, the president of Alpha Tau Omega, responded “I am looking forward to bringing in one of the best classes we have had since I have been here. Not necessarily the number of guys, but the quality.” The last quote received was from Jake Sullens of Delta Upsilon “I’m excited about seeing new people interested in Greek life and meeting new people.”
