Alumni Spotlight: Amber Campen
This week featuring on Wildcat Wire is an alumni spotlight on Amber Campen. During an interview, she reflects on what it was like as a student at Culver-Stockton College.
When did you attend Culver-Stockton College?
“I played basketball from 1993-1997 and went back and graduated in 1999, majoring in Business Administration.”
What were you involved in here at CSC?
“I mainly played basketball and joined Chi Omega Sorority.”
What is the best memory you have of being a part of CSC?
“Traveling for basketball and being with my teammates was the best. I participated in a national tournament my sophomore year and had the amazing opportunity to travel to places like Oregon, California, and Florida.”
How do you think COVID has impacted learning on campus?
“COVID has been a struggle for all students. I think one of the main disadvantages now is the social avenue that was available for students before the virus. Social networking has been impacted as well as general communication on campus between students and professors.”
Are you still a part of the CSC community as an alumni living in the area?
“Yes! I still go to basketball games to cheer on the Wildcats. I am also a contributor to annual scholarship funds and to the Chi Omega Sorority.”
