The Culver-Stockton College women’s bowling team finished sixth among 10 teams at the 10th annual Hammer’s Lions Classic hosted by Lindenwood University at the Plaza Bowl in St. Charles, Mo., Saturday and Sunday.

The Wildcats totaled 5,733 total pins for the weekend. Lindenwood captured its own event by registering 6,621 total pins.

The Culver-Stockton College women’s soccer team netted three goals in the first 11 minutes of the game helping spoil MidAmerica Nazarene’s hopes of winning a conference championship with a 3-0 victory Saturday night at Ellison Poulton Stadium.

MidAmerica Nazarene University scored two goals in the first 10 minutes en route to a 4-1 victory over the Culver-Stockton College men’s soccer team Saturday night at Ellison Poulton Stadium.  The loss drop the Wildcats’ record to 9-8-1 overall and 3-8 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. C-SC earned the ninth seed and will play at Grand View (Iowa) Wednesday, Oct. 31, in Davenport, Iowa. The Wildcats defeated the Vikings 1-0 earlier this season in Altoona, Iowa.

Grand View’s Brady Jansen kicked a 40-yard field goal with 13 seconds remaining to help the Vikings escape Culver-Stockton football’s upset bid with a 29-27 victory Saturday afternoon at Ellison Poulton Stadium.

The Wildcats had taken a 27-26 lead with 3:51 to play in the game when Micangelo Joseph caught his second touchdown pass of the day from Korbin Marcum to culminate an eight-play, 79-yard drive covering four minutes, 27 seconds.
