Since President Thompson’s arrival she has accomplished many of both the college’s and her own goals. Some of those goals include enrollment growth, the completion of the J.E & L.E Mabee Center, as well as the new residential facility Brown Hall.  The latter consists of both classrooms and the Johnson Esports Arena.  Another major accomplishment was the addition of new academic  programs along with increasing the endowment from $22 million to $27 million.  Some other enhancements to the campus are the renovations of the Wood and Shannon residential buildings. President Thompson is also helping the College implement a $25 million dollar fundraising campaign, “Culver-Stockton: Changing Lives.”

The President also mentioned some of her future goals include enrollment growth through increased retention of students.  Another plan is renovate the dining hall, which Director of Facilities and Security Mike Bringer said would be one of the upcoming projects over the summer of 2019. President Thompson also mentioned plans of adding an Experiential Learning Center to the Crown Center and to continue improving all academic buildings – even construction of a new sports complex.

President Kelley Thompson is very excited about what’s been happening here over her last 4 years and is proud of all that has been accomplished in order to increase the students experience at Culver-Stockton College. The president stated “I believe what’s been done has created a great deal of positive momentum with alumni and friends of the college.” There are many things to be looking forward to during President Thompson’s next years at Culver-Stockton College.
