CANTON, Mo – Enrollment and fiscal strength are roaring for Culver-Stockton College.
In the fall of 2026 C-SC welcomed 362 new students. According to the college’s media release, this is a 15% increase over last year and is the second straight year of double-digit new-student growth.
This year’s incoming class is quite diverse, including students from 36 different states, Puerto Rico, and 12 foreign countries. C-SC President Lauren Schellenberger stated, “Students choose Culver-Stockton because they want an education that goes beyond textbooks and the classroom.”
The recent boost in enrollment is good for the school for more than one reason. Vice President for Enrollment Management Melanie Lechtenberg said in the college’s media release that recent enrollment numbers reflect a wider reach. “Enrollment growth is about more than hitting targets. It’s about building a dynamic, inclusive campus culture. Whether they are moving down the road or flying across the globe, students are choosing C-SC because they see a vibrant community where they truly belong and an environment designed for their personal and academic success.”
Culver-Stockton College’s financial standing also improved as of late. The U.S. Department of Education releases financial responsibility scores annually, where there are three tiers. Tier 1 ranges from 1.500 to 3.000. According to the college, C-SC has received a perfect 3.000 score in both 2024 and 2025, which is an improvement from a 2.500 score in 2023.
The fiscal strength of C-SC doesn’t end there. Their investments are doing quite well as the school’s endowment has reached 51.6 million as of August 31, 2026, according to the school’s press release. This is a 16.1% increase from $44.5 million on July 1, 2025.
With enrollment continuing to grow and the college’s financial standing remaining strong, Culver-Stockton College has plenty to be excited about. As the 26-27 academic year gets underway, the growth across campus sets the stage for an exciting year ahead on “The Hill.”
