Score: 4-3

This past Wednesday evening, the Culver-Stockton Men’s soccer team took on Baker University. The second half of the match #10 Fran Fayos for the wildcats scored the first goal . Both teams went back and forth with the goals, keeping it an intense, and entertaining match. #15 Lenni Kirschener had an assist, along with a goal against Baker. #8 Joaquin Cordoba for C-SC also scored. Then, Baker makes a come back, first with a goal from#9 Richard Bahaj, a headshot score then coming from #19 Jordan Gomez-Nix. #20 Aaron Blakeston scored a goal for Baker to tie the game, leading into overtime.

Throughout the game, the goalie for Baker University was yellow-carded, #0 Lorenzo Giaretti.

There was exactly one second left of overtime, as the whole Baker sideline screamed “shoot, shoot”,  #7 Jordan Lake had the final shot of the game leaving the score at 4-3, claiming Baker University as the winner. This puts C-SC at 4-11. Their next match is their senior night Saturday, October 19th. They will then take on Grand View University.
