The Culver-Stockton College men’s bowling team went 2-2 in match play Sunday to finish fourth in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championships at the Cherry Bowl in Dubuque, Iowa.

The Wildcats began the day as the sixth seed in the six team tournament but surprised third seeded Clarke with by winning the best-of-five series of baker games in five games. C-SC fell into the loser’s bracket after second-seeded Grand View (Iowa) swept the Wildcats in the quarterfinals.


The Culver-Stockton College women’s team dropped lost two straight best-of-five series in match play Sunday and was eliminated from the Heart of America Athletic Conference Bowling Championships at the Cherry Bowl in Dubuque, Iowa.

The Wildcats, who finished seventh in the qualifying stage Saturday, began the double-elimination round Sunday by falling to second-seeded Missouri Baptist three games to one. C-SC was eliminated in their next series, falling to sixth-seeded Clarke (Iowa) in four games.


The Culver-Stockton College baseball team received a pair of complete games from its pitching staff in sweeping Baker University Sunday afternoon in Heart of America Athletic Conference action Sunday in Kansas City, Mo.

The Wildcats, who ended the opening weekend of the conference slate with a 3-1 record, got an eight-hit shutout from Cody Lee as the Wildcats won 5-0 in the opener. In game two, Jordan Isham matched Lee’s effort with a five-hitter in a 4-1 C-SC victory.


The Culver-Stockton College women’s lacrosse team played its first conference game in program history Sunday, falling to the University of St. Mary 16-3 at Berkel Memorial Stadium in Leavenworth, Kan.

The Wildcats, who lost their inaugural game last Sunday to Madonna (Mich.), fell behind 3-0 to the Spires before Maggie Lascelles scored her first career goal to cut the deficit to 3-1. Annemarie Rhatigan-Meyer added her first career assist.
