Culver-Stockton College awarded this year’s Mahan Prize in Creative Writing – Journalism  to senior arts & entertainment editor at The Wildcat Wire, Vanessa Bolen.

Bolen has contributed to both the Wire and its previous print version, The Megaphone.  She also was recognized earlier this semester by the Missouri Collegiate Media Association for her work with the campus media outlets.

The award was established in memory of attorney Geiorge Mahan of Hannibal, MO and honored students in the creative writing fields of informal essay, journalism, one-act play, and short story.
