Jake Persenico netted three goals in the first half and four in the game to lift Clarke University to a 4-0 Heart of America Athletic Conference victory over the Culver-Stockton College men’s soccer team Wednesday night at Ellison Poulton Stadium.

The Culver-Stockton College women’s volleyball match with Clarke University (Iowa), scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 6 at Charles Field House has been postponed.

For the second straight week, the Culver-Stockton College women’s soccer team failed to protect a 1-0 lead in the final 10 minutes of the game.

Benedictine College scored twice in the final five minutes Saturday night to escape with a 2-1 Heart of America Athletic Conference victory over the Wildcats at Poulton Stadium.

Benedictine College scored four second half goals to overcome a 2-0 halftime deficit and defeat the Culver-Stockton men’s soccer team Saturday night at Poulton Stadium in Canton.

After falling behind 2-0, the Ravens registered two goals in the first five minutes of the second half to tie the game. Benedictine then added two more goals in the 72nd minute and the 74th minute, respectively, to earn the victory.

On Saturday the Cross Country teams competed in the NAIA Seminole Valley Stampede in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The men’s team had five runners start the race but only four were able to finish and they ended up with no team score. The women’s team only had four runners start the race. Josh French was the top male runner for the Wildcats, completing the 8-kilometer course in 31 minutes, 28 seconds to finish 182nd overall among the 229 runners that began the race.In the women’s 5-kilometer race, Erin Bodine was the top finisher for C-SC with a time of 26:01.3, which was good for 204th overall.
