Culver-Stockton’s Heart of America Athletic Conference North Division football game at home against Peru State College on Oct. 24 has been postponed.

The request was made by Peru State College, and the decision comes after contact tracing and cautionary quarantine procedures were enacted. Additionally, Culver-Stockton has recently experienced more Covid-19 isolations and quarantines with its football team. This game has tentatively been rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 28.

This is the fourth straight week Culver-Stockton (1-1) has had a game postponed.

This week’s Heart of America Athletic Conference men’s soccer games at Baker University Oct. 20, and at home against MidAmerica Nazarene Oct. 24 have been postponed.

Madison McClain totaled 17 kills and Ali Scott added 10 terminations as the Culver-Stockton College women’s volleyball team snapped a six-match losing streak with a 25-20, 25-22, 16-25, 25-22 victory over Peru State Friday night.

The Wildcats improve to 2-8 overall and 2-5 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference while Peru State drops to 1-9 overall and 0-7 in the Heart. C-SC is scheduled to play at Mount Mercy University this Tuesday, Oct. 27, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Game time is slated for 7 p.m.

The Culver-Stockton College cross country team didn’t have enough runners to qualify for the team competition but the runners that competed set personal bests during the Mustang Jamboree at Mount Mercy University Saturday morning.

In the women’s 5-kilometer race, Paola Mora registered a personal best time of 24:10.33, good for 78th place among 96 runners.

In the men’s 8-kilometer race, Ben Sparks was the top C-SC finisher with a time of 31:05.58 to place 75th overall in the 92-runner field.
