The Culver-Stockton women’s volleyball team suffered a straight set loss to Mount Mercy University Tuesday night in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The Mustangs were never threatened in the Heart of America Athletic Conference match, improving to 7-2 overall and 7-2 in the Heart with a 25-9, 25-18, 25-9 victory. The Wildcats, fall to 2-9 overall and 2-6 in the league.

Culver-Stockton’s Heart of America Athletic Conference North Division football game at home against Clarke University on Oct. 31 has been postponed. Instead, the Wildcats will travel to Oskaloosa, Iowa, on Sunday, Nov. 1, to face North Division rival William Penn University. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.

The request to postpone Saturday’s game was made by Clarke, and the decision comes after contact tracing and cautionary quarantine procedures were enacted.

Isabella Aranda scored with 28 seconds left in the first overtime to lift the Culver-Stockton women’s soccer team to a 3-2 Heart of America Athletic Conference over the Mount Mercy University Wednesday night in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The victory snaps a three-game winless streak for the Wildcats and improves their record to 3-2-1 overall and in the Heart. C-SC is scheduled to host Evangel University this Friday, Oct. 30, at Ellison Poulton Stadium. Game time is set for 5 p.m.

Peru State College avenged an earlier loss to the Culver-Stockton College women’s volleyball team with a 25-22, 25-22, 25-16 decision Friday afternoon at the Al Wheeler Activity Center in Peru, Neb.

Evangel University netted two second goals to earn a 2-0 Heart of America Athletic Conference victory over the Culver-Stockton College women’s soccer team at Ellison Poulton Stadium Friday night.

The Culver-Stockton College women’s basketball team opened the 2020-21 season with a 77-58 road loss at Saint Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, Saturday afternoon. Senior guard Payton Curley was the only Wildcat player to reach double figures, finishing with 14 points.

The Culver-Stockton College football team committed eight turnovers in a 20-14 loss at William Penn University Sunday afternoon in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

The Culver-Stockton College bowling teams competed at the Jayhawk Collegiate Classic Saturday in Lawrence, Kan. The men were in sixth place after the first day with a total team score of 5388 through six team games. In the women’s event, the Wildcats rolled a six-game total of 4572 to finish sixth in the team competition.
