Culver-Stockton College junior English Education major Molly Brant is the 2018-19 recipient of the Beulah E. Litle Scholarship in
Literature.

Funded in 1960 by Dr. Lester Litle, superintendent of Quincy Public Schools, the Litle Scholarship is awarded to a junior or a senior majoring in the field of
English with an emphasis in literature who is planning to teach. The criteria for this scholarship are a high scholastic record,
participation in campus activities related to English, good moral character, and need. The $500 scholarship is awarded by the Scholarship and Student Aid Committee upon the recommendation of the English faculty.

The Litle Scholarship was established in memory of Beulah Litle, wife of Dr. Lester Litle.  Recommendations for the recipient come from the English Department faculty members.  The first scholarship was made in the 1960 academic year.
