Professional Clothing Giveaway Offers Threads, Tailoring for C-SC students
Recently, Culver-Stockton College students were offered the chance to acquire dress clothes and to have their own altered for no cost at the annual C-SC Women’s Professional Clothing Giveaway.
Thanks to the volunteer work from the American Association of University Women and Dr. Kelli Stiles’ psychology class, a diverse wardrobe of dress clothing was made available. Donated from faculty, staff, and alumni, the selection will help students get dressed up and ready for interviews and other professional functions.
Held in the Carl Johann Memorial Library’s basement, the event has occurred annually since 2013, and is joined by a Menswear event which is held every February. Robin Jarvis, the Director of Career and Internship Services at C-SC says “students who were unable to attend the event but need professional clothing are welcome to contact me and make an appointment to visit the closet.”
