This spring marks the fourth time Senior Lecturer in Criminal Justice Seth McBride has offered the “Fallen Officer Project” as part of his “In the Line of Duty” class, according to a press release by Culver-Stockton College.

Students who sign up for the class first were interviewed by McBride.  They must be Criminal Justice majors or minors and understand the expectations of the course.  Students select officers who died in the line of duty and researched the officers’ stories after getting approval from the families.

This year the class will also raise funds for the first time for two foundations:  WHOH (Who’s House Our House) and Supporting Heroes.  Students in the course will participate on April 11 in a memorial walk at Ellison Poulton Stadium.  McBride’s goal is to raise $5,000 with various levels and incentives at $500, $1,000 leading to $5,000.

Donors can receive more information by contacting McBride at smcbride@culver.edu.
